What is
Cognitive Hypnotherapy?
Cognitive Hypnotherapy
utilises the everyday
workings of your
mind to create
wanted and positive
change within you.
You already frequently
enter light trance
states throughout
the day, for example,
have you ever driven
to a destination
and once you have
arrived could not
remember your journey,
almost as if you
have been driving
on autopilot, or
have you ever daydreamed
all the way through
a business meeting
or class and found
at the end of it
you cannot remember
what has been said.
This is because
our conscious mind
has been actively
thinking about
other things as
our unconscious
mind has been ensuring
that we continue
with our typical
daily tasks.
It has been proven
by modern neuroscience
that approximately
90% of our behaviour
is driven by our
unconscious mind
and only 10% of
our behaviour is
conscious. To this
end Cognitive Hypnotherapy
works and communicates
with the unconscious
mind whilst you
are in a light
trance state in
order to help you
to achieve your
goals and solve
your problems.
I will guide you
to this light trance
state by talking
to you and helping
you to feel relaxed.
When hypnotised
you are merely
focusing your mind
on the things that
I say to you or
your thoughts.
The hypnotic language
I use can talk
to your unconscious
mind in a way that
it often cannot
help but respond
to. During the
session you will
not be in a coma
like state, you
will be able to
talk to me, you
will not lose your
inhibitions, you
cannot be made
to do anything
that you do not
want to do and
you can wake up
anytime you feel
that you want to.
When you awaken
you will feel really
quite relaxed and
many people report
it to be a very
pleasant and calming
experience.
Unlike many traditional
hypnotherapists
who use a one size
fits all approach
to therapy that
can work on a hit
and miss basis,
I will write you
a tailored hypnotherapy
program that will
help you to achieve
solutions to your
problem by using
your own personal
view of the world.
In the first session
I will ask you
many questions
about where you
are now and exactly
how you see yourself
when you have overcome
your problem or
issue. This is
to ensure that
we are both working
together to achieve
exactly the same
goals . I will
help you to find
the underlying
meaning and drivers
for your problem
to help you to
resolve them in
order for you to
move forward and
change.
Probably everybody
would benefit from
some therapy,
but most people
don't need much
and this approach
is geared to helping
you to get the
results you want,
usually in less
time than you might
expect. A Cognitive
Hypnotherapist
acts as a guide
to help you find
the best way to
the solution of
your issue. It's
an active collaboration

problem, they just

What is
NLP?
NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic
Programming ,
a name that encompasses
the three most
influential components
involved in producing
human experience.
The neurological
system regulates
how our bodies
function, language
determines how
we interface
and communicate
with other people
and our programming
determines the
kinds of models
of the world
we create. Neuro-Linguistic
Programming describes
the fundamental
dynamics between
mind (neuro)
and language
(linguistic)
and how their
interplay affects
our body and
behaviour (programming).
NLP is a multi-dimensional
process that involves
the development
of behavioural
competence and
flexibility, but
also involves strategic
thinking and an
understanding of
the mental and
cognitive processes
behind behaviour.
NLP techniques
take many forms
that provide powerful
tools to allow
change within us.
Some of these tools,
once learned, can
be used throughout
life to provide
a means of 'self
help', so you can
take control of
your life in the
future.
